Aside from writing novels, he also wrote an RTE Television Play The Babysitters, a psychological thriller with a literary tax refugee as a central character, in 1980, first broadcast on RTE 1 as part of the "Thursday Play Date" series on 28 February 1980

"Peter Driscoll was born in London in 1942 and after the war went to South Africa with his parents. At seventeen he joined the Rand Daily Mail in Johannesburg and has been intermittently in journalism ever since -- the intermissions having included periods as a labourer, ship's stoker, national serviceman, part-time student and full-time writer. He was based in London from 1968 until 1973, when he embarked on further travels to Greece, Africa and the Far East."
